Eating seafood is healthy and it is part of the coastal culture, but it is important to know which species can be eaten frequently, and which should be dinner less often or not at all. Through a collaboration with the Environmental Justice Advisory Board in Brunswick, UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant designed materials to help explain the Glynn County fish advisories. The effort includes a community cookbook series that uses recipes alongside educational information to promote how to safely enjoy Georgia’s local seafood cuisine.
